LENZR 2.0 is here!

It was two years ago today, when Innate Media Group launched version one of the photo contest website, LENZR. Since then, LENZR has continued to grow as an online community of serial photo contests that gather and evaluate user-generated content. How do these contests work? The photo contests support a two-way dialogue between the participants of an individual contest and the brand that’s sponsoring the competition. This allows the consumers to contribute to these marketing campaigns by uploading images and voting on other photos.
Users can sign up on LENZR and engage through the online
community which consists of submitting photos to a desired photo
contest. These contests vary from “Best Office Staff Party” to
“What’s in Your Garden?”. Once a contest is in the voting stages,
which is usually the 15th of every other month, users can vote on
their favourite photos and add comments to increase the photo’s
chance of being placed in the Top 10 where judges determine the
winner. On the first of the month the winner is decided by the
LENZR judges and will receive a prize, usually a digital camera,
laptop, or even an iPad!
Today LENZR 2.0 was launched to the public with a variety of new and
exciting features that creates a whole new experience for its
members. Users can now upload a profile picture, add members as
buddies, view their recent activities, and view their latest
submissions in a user-friendly manner.
On the new homepage of LENZR, you can easily navigate the latest winners, latest submissions, new contests, and even follow up on what’s happening with LENZR from the Twitter/Blog section. Also there’s a new section where members can actually create their very own contest (Community Contests) for the public to see with their own sponsors and prizes.
To get more involved with what is happening with LENZR, you can shoot over to the forums and see the latest discussions on previous and upcoming contests or give suggestions to the website administrator.
With the slick new design, improved features and add-ons, LENZR hopes that the new community will eclipse the old version in terms of popularity and become a 2011 web trend that gets everyone talking!
